Triptique circa 1850 Triptych circa 1850. A religious object designed for travel, it is covered with leather on the outside and adorned with copper hinges forming claws. The medallion on each door features an eagle slaying a dragon. The interior is in copper, worked like a dinanderie and originally silver-plated. The symbolism represents the Gospels. Animals such as deer, oxen, horses, squirrels, birds and fish are represented in the round. Dimensios: H 44 x 14cm closed and H 44 x 30cm open
