Pierre Karl Fabergé (1846-1920) d'après. Petite pendule vase en argent ciselé doré.
After Pierre Karl Fabergé (1846-1920 ). Small vase clock in chased gilt silver and vermeil. Polychrome enamel plaques on a pink background adorn the 4 sides. Two rotating dials, for hours and minutes. A serpent's tongue indicates the time; it is coiled around the shower foot and the vase, which is topped by a musician putto (cymbals). The vase stands on a square base, supported by musician satyrs in caryatids at each corner. A door opens onto two small drawers engraved and hallmarked in silver. The mechanism is present, as is the key to wind it. Restoration on the enamel of the lower disc (between the numbers 10 and 20), small lack on the number 3 of the disc. Operation to be checked. Scratches, small accidents to the enamel. Vienna, late 19th century. Dimensions: H 20.5cm Width of square base 8cm Our clock is almost identical to the one sold at Mercier & Cie on February 13, 2011, which was sold. Mercier & Cie notes in its description that this clock is similar to the egg delivered in 1902 by Pierre Karl FABERGÉ to the Duchess of MARLBOROUGH, now in the Russian collection of Viktor VERKSELBERG.
